Don’t ask what the story is about. All good works are essentially metaphors.

At first, when the phrase "The Cylons were created by men" was typed on the screen, I thought I knew what the story was about. Humans have created robots, and robots have rebelled. Such a setting is really nothing new. Although the robots here are a bit special, in the final analysis, it is not just fighting.

However, after the miniseries ended, I started to take it seriously. The plot is very compact, the characters are also cleanly shaped and have distinctive personalities. The most important thing is that it did not satisfy my previous passionate expectations at all. There is no space battle, no fighting, no fighting, and the war is over before it starts.

The next question is how to deal with the despair of a civilization living in space and homeless, and how to struggle to maintain its dignity amidst the chaos, violence and evil thoughts caused by this despair.

Remember the sentence in "The Three-Body", "When human beings truly wander into space, totalitarianism only takes five minutes." The 10-12 episodes of the second season should be insurmountable in terms of technique and content. peak. I admit that I didn't like Adm. Cain the first time I watched it, not only because she always confronted the protagonist, but also because of the cruelty and unscrupulousness embodied in her, which is terrifying. But a point I saw later made me agree: the social order represented by Pegasus is actually another path that Galactica did not follow, but it was very likely to follow. People who have faced that choice will not criticize Adm. Cain with so-called moral standards. After all, for Pegasus, highly centralized militarized management may be the only way to survive. As the supreme commander, she faced the catastrophe alone, did not shrink back, did not give up, did not hesitate, and did what she thought was right. In the same situation, most people on Galactica can't do it. So she is brave, so she deserves respect.

However, when I was about to think that I knew what the show was about again, they found the earth. Find them, land, and find that they are nothing but ruins. So they said, Frak Earth, after struggling for so long and searching for so long, it was all chasing a lie. When I saw this, I thought this story was really sad.

There are many people who are as sad as me, such as D. She lost confidence in the world probably a long time ago. Fate failed her, love failed her, and this time, she really lost hope completely. When she died, I suddenly thought of CIC in the miniseries. At that time, Gaeta, D, they were all there, and the world hadn't become so complicated at that time. What a good time.

Why do you suddenly start to miss it? I can't say it, but I don't care much about the details after this, and I no longer want to remember every word of every character as I did before. The next plot is nothing more than-they discovered that humans and Cylon are in fact of the same ancestry. They found that the standard of good and evil that they have believed in for so long may not be so unshakable, and that the enemy they have been entangled with for so long may not be. It should be called an enemy, because the connection between the two races is so inseparable...

When I first started, I was confident in this story and looked forward to it. But seeing this, I really can't imagine how it can end. If even the point of "who is the enemy" can be subverted, then what else can be trusted for this civilization? How do they know if the whole world is a huge lie? Lee took off his uniform and became president. Old man's determination no longer looked so unshakable. Tigh still couldn't figure out whether he should be a human or Cylon. Roslin only had her illness and her man in his mind. Helo and Athena didn't know. Since then, it has been completely reduced to soy sauce. Baltar doesn't do anything all day long to instill superstition into the entire fleet, and Starbuck can't even figure out whether she is a human or a ghost. I can continue to follow the crowd as an audience, let the plot take me away, but, please, give the world a little sense of reason.

However, anyway, I read it through. Four seasons TV series, three web series, two movies, plus various talk shows. To those who may be a little worried after reading the above paragraph: The final outcome is not bad.

Now that I stand at the end of this story, I can't believe that everything is over for the time being. At least, everyone has found their own destination, which sounds good. For me, just knowing that Lee still loves Kara is enough. I also love the ninth episode of the third season, forever.

  • Lt. Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace: [reacts to a joke] That was weak! So very, very weak!

Samuel T. Anders: [playfully] Lighten up a little bit. It's only the end of the world.

  • Doctor Gaius Baltar: So the fate... of the entire human race depends upon my wild guess.
