I watched this film for the great emotion that Love Notebook has brought me. There is no imaginary touch, but it is still a very healing love film.
The line Ira and Ruth touched me a lot. I am 28 years old this year, the eighth year of my relationship with my first love. In these eight most youthful years, we have a lot of selves and dreams. We go through a long period of being in a different place and a foreign country, during which there are hesitations, and there are moments when we want to give up. Like the love requires sacrifice conveyed in the film, in the love I understand now, sacrifice is necessary. No two people can go hand in hand perfectly on the road of being themselves forever and chasing their dreams forever. It all takes sacrifice, it takes both people to make the necessary changes and concessions, and to focus on what we have in order to actually be happy and sustain it. Because we want to turn love into life. Become the hand of the child and the life of the child.
Maybe you want to grow old with someone in vain, this is the true meaning. love is sacrifice.
