perfect but not perfect

I haven't written a long review for a long time, and I'm lazy, and there are very few movies that can touch me anymore.

This movie was originally intended to be a commercial film to watch while eating, for entertainment, but it didn't work out. It was a near-perfect masterpiece.

The seamless editing, the use of the camera, the design of the plot, the moving lines, and the acting skills of the actors are almost impeccable.

Chow Yun-fat is a great man. I think that in certain roles, in Hong Kong, he is the first and no one dares to say the second, just like Huang Qiusheng's perverted killer who dares to compete. On the contrary, Li Xiuxian made my eyes shine. He always likes to play some grinning, kind-looking police officers. This time, he has performed a lot of action scenes and emotional scenes, and his performance is also very good. The cooperation with Chow Yun-fat is also very exciting.

But there are some minor issues with this movie, it's just too much. In some episodes, they are separated from reality and more of a free play of idealism. For example, Chow Yun-fat had a long conversation with his injured brother in church, and in the end, Chow Yun-fat was also blinded. He wanted to hug Ye Qianwen but fluttered. It is very touching from a perceptual perspective, but it is very illogical from a rational perspective. Another point is that the existence of the heroine did not bring any improvement to the film, but made the audience feel like a burden. Although the plot revolves around her, in front of brotherhood, she lost her sense of existence.

Chow Yun-fat's brother even shot at the beginning, but there was no bullet in the gun, and then he gave his life to Chow Yun-fat. Is this because he felt ashamed?

All in all, it can be said that this movie is perfect, or it can be said that it is too perfect for emotional expression and loses some sense of reality, but there is no doubt that this is a real action masterpiece in Hong Kong film history!

@ Archives. Whether it is [The True Color of Heroes] or [Blood and Blood], John Woo's films are too dependent on the times. Even if the audience briefly leaves, what they can observe is only a drop in the ocean, and the surface is too pale. It may be just like the sentence "Now It is no longer our era." It is worth thinking about whether what is left after the golden age is a treasure or a mediocre.

In the glorious era of police and gangster films, Fa Ge is at the peak of his appearance and must be watched.
