In Wen Ziren's works, what level is the performance of "Dead Silence"?

Let me tell you my personal opinion.

This movie is quite a classic. I just finished this Wen Ziren-flavored "Dead Silence" for the second time. It is a double enjoyment of audio and visual. Whether it is the sound effect rendering atmosphere or the conversion of the lens, it is quite beautiful, and the concept is quite good.

In fact, "Dead Silence" is not the kind of movie that wins with plot. The plot is very simple, but Director Wen turned a simple story of investigating supernatural events into an audio-visual feast, which is quite impressive.

The plot design is quite clever, although the story is simple. The male protagonist and his wife live happily in an apartment, but one day they receive a puppet named Billy, and then the wife is tragically killed by her tongue. The male protagonist searches for the truth, and then gradually discovers the secrets hidden in the family...and gets closer and closer to the truth. Some small hints in the film can be said to be quite clear. After the wife opened the box sent to the male protagonist, she found the puppet and said in surprise: Jamie, you adopted a baby for us, and then put the quilt in front of the mirror or something. Tucked into clothes and pretended to be pregnant for October, suggesting that the wife behind was pregnant, and the mother and the first stepmother missing from the family's oil paintings implied that the perfect puppet was the last one, the father concealed the death of the mother, and the stepmother supported the father's posture There's weirdness everywhere...so even though the plot continues to advance in sequence, it still has its ups and downs.

My favorite is that the sound effects are used just right. Just like the part where Henry was killed, although he didn't use too many sound effects for rendering, he still felt chills all over his body.

Personally, I actually hope that "Dead Silence" will become a symbol of Director Wen's masterpiece in his early years, because I still hope that Director Wen can make more good horror films.

Have to admit that the expectations are too high. Mary is too easy to deal with, close your eyes and cover your mouth, and you can sit together until dawn ╮(╯-╰)╭.
