watched on tv

papillon seems to be the name of an island with snakes, worms, rats, ants, crocodiles, miasma swamps, and a purgatory on earth—prison. Prison correction assistant. And the tough guy McQueen ran away with his perseverance, and he was tortured. The most impressive scene is that McQueen was locked up in a single black room like a dog hole. He started to use push-ups and pull-ups to exercise his will and save energy (as Robert In "Taxi Driver", De Niro keeps fit in the apartment and prepares to be an assassin), eats pig-like food, and sticks his head out to get a haircut every once in a while, so that he can talk to the people next door. Tortured like a humanoid,...but the life is constantly fighting, and finally McQueen escapes? Forgot the ending, watched it for too long.
Dustin Hoffman becomes the second protagonist in this film. He has short hair, a prison uniform and round glasses, looking at the camera in confusion. I can't see the eyes behind his lenses. Papillon, and only McQueen is still thinking about getting away.

ps1: It was broadcast on English TV at the beginning, but I didn't watch it all. Recently, the Atv World commercial announced a two-disc commemorative edition, and the HMV was released. Although there is no HMV here, but the D version of the audio and video store in the city's Junye has been sold, and it is imitated in a decent manner.
ps2: Escape from birth and run towards freedom. Prison escape genres include this one, including "Shark Shenk's Redemption", Fa Ge's "Prison", and the similar Jack Nicholson's "Flying Over the Cuckoo's Nest"... From madhouse=prison to society= Prison, the respite under institutionalization is only for one word: freedom!

Papillon quotes

  • Warden Barrot: Put all hope out of your mind. And masturbate as little as possible, it drains the strength!

  • Dega: Well, it now seems quite possible that until we get to a decent jail with bribeable guards, I may stand in some need of... rather close physical protection.

Papillon: That depends on how long you want to live.

    Dega: For a long time.

Papillon: Then you got a problem.

Dega: Well, I presume that you have some, uh, goals, some particular need that outrates all the others. I mean, if so... may I aslk what it is?

    Papillon: Money!

    Dega: For what?

    Papillon: Escape.

Dega: Very good. You keep me alive until we land in Guiana, and I'll underwrite any escape you care to arrange.

Papillon: Escape for me, not for us!

    Dega: Oh, of course. I, I, I...

    [laughs]

Dega: . I have no intention, uh, of even attempting to escape - ever!

    Papillon: Done!
