After reading the publicity reviews, I have high expectations for this movie. Unfortunately, more than half of the dialogue in the first disc is incomprehensible without subtitles. The whole story is still clear. On the eve of the Meiji Restoration, the samurai lost their original noble status. The protagonist had to do farm work and part-time labor in order to support the family. Of course, this is not a romance movie, the theme is about Japanese samurai. When the age of hot weapons came, the status of the samurai changed, the creed that the samurai obeyed changed, and the samurai became a special class. The performance of Sanada Hiroyuki, also known as the Sanada team leader in Promise, is too strong in this film, showing the downfall and will of a poor man and his love for his daughter.
