Why be so serious

Comedies are harder to write and shoot than dramas. This is a fact recognized in the art world. A good comedian (or team) must have a careful observation of life and integrate it into his performance. Even so, there are still very few comedies that can amuse everyone across ethnic, geographic, and cultural differences. In my opinion, "The White-Headed Detective" is one (or three).

Wulitou comedy, as a sub-genre, is well-known to mainland audiences through Stephen Chow's development. But this movie style was actually (in the legend) born on the other side of the ocean, and the originator of (the legendary) "Flying All Over the Sky" still frequently appears on the lists of various top ten comedies. The "white-headed detective" who plays a doctor in "Empty" continues and develops this style in this film. As an unscrupulous and unreliable agent, killing an enemy can be careless, talking about a relationship can be furious, and the queen can also ridicule at will. The plot of the movie can be fooled at will, fooled to defeat the villain casually, but it is serious to make you laugh, and all kinds of jokes are also "ridiculous". Such a comedy that crosses cultures and regions is what a comedy should do: funny.

Why is it so serious? Is there anything in this world that can't be used to spoof it?
