true love

For many years, I have been thinking about this question, if two people in love are faced with a huge conflict of self-principles, then where will love go? Do we choose to nip this situation in the cradle, or do we choose to betray love or betray ourselves? I have no such experience, and have been struggling with this thinking for many years without results. Maybe that's why I was particularly shocked when I watched "fanaa".

I watched the spoiler and started watching it after I knew the general ending, but it was still too painful for me. If the mountains are blocked by heavy snow forever and the signal is cut off, maybe this family of four can live in peace forever. Little Rehan can have a father's love like other children and get more education from a man; Zooni's father can enjoy his old age in the life of his children and grandchildren; and this pair of lovers who have already experienced a life and death parting can be loved by gods. Live the rest of your life in general. However, if the love story between the blind girl and the "tour guide" in the front is the foreshadowing of the later plot, then this encounter with the injury is a more cruel foreshadowing. All the antecedents are quietly waiting for the outbreak of the latter ending.

I remember when I saw Zooni shoot Rehan, I could barely see the movie because of blurry eyes. Although this scene was heart-wrenching, I still went back and watched it several times in confusion and sadness. "The so-called tragedy is to tear up all the beautiful things in front of people's eyes and destroy them for people to see." This famous saying by Mr. Lu Xun repeatedly appeared in my mind. But if it's just destruction, then maybe the movie isn't a good movie. In Destruction, we see a lot more than Destruction, and that's what makes this movie so great.

The film is set against the backdrop of the Kashmir dispute, and Rehan is guilty of inexorable guilt in terms of the countless innocent lives lost. As such a special person, his life lacks warmth and affection, and more lies and disguises. From these aspects, is death not a form of self-salvation and liberation for him? He has told too many lies, but his love for Zooni is real and unchanging, but they have their own principles and positions that cannot be compromised. Living is not the best ending of this love, but death is not a kind of mutual fulfillment. This is not a tragedy of the little man alone, but a tragedy placed in the context of his home country. But love does not end with death or separation, everything is reborn in the long years to come.

Love is not about accommodating each other in everything, let alone giving up oneself, but about achieving each other and sublimating each other in emotion.

Fanaa quotes

  • Rehan Qadri: How can you love me so much? How can anyone love so much?

  • Rehan Qadri: Oh, you're blind.

Zooni Ali Beg: Yes, you didn't see that? Are you blind too?

Rehan Qadri: Thank God, I'm not.

Zooni Ali Beg: That's a nice thing to say to a blind person.

Rehan Qadri: If I was blind, I couldn't have seen the most beautiful thing in the world: you. "Your beauty made God make a mistake, what more can I say? So that you don't cast an evil eye on yourself, he took your eyes away."
