The soundtrack of this film is very famous, won the Caesar Award in 1989, and is also highly respected among enthusiasts. In the vast ocean of movie soundtracks, it can be called the best work. The composer is Eric Serra (Luc Besson's official soundtrack). This film is an early collaboration between Luc Besson and Eric Serra, so the commercial flavor is not very strong. Except for a few plot variations, it is the blue sky and blue sea and the fatalistic dreaminess of the blockbuster. It is said that Serra was dragged by Luc Besson to dive every day for the soundtrack, and was forced to change from a landlubber to a diving master. Perhaps it is because of this that Serra can write music as blue and melancholy as the sea.
