I watched this movie on September 21, 2012. There was a classic evaluation called "first-rate novels, second-rate movies; third-rate novels, first-rate movies". I feel the same in this regard. This movie is adapted from the "Human Bone Puzzle" by American novelist Jeffrey Defoe. It's a pity The thing is that I have not read this novel, but I have watched more than one of Defoe's "Empty Chair", "Coffin Dancer", and "Stone Monkey", including Defoe's Lincoln Lime series and John Gerry. Sam’s Lawyer series and Michael Connelly’s Harry Boss series are both very good novel series. They can all be called first-class novels, but I might like Lawrence Block’s detective novels more than realism. Compared with Brock’s novels, Defoe’s and Connery’s novels are too bizarre and exaggerated, and exaggerate the murderer’s brutality and the mysteriousness of the methods. As a result, they are often exposed because of the actor’s whim, which I don’t like. A little bit.
Compared with the novel, "Human Bone Puzzle" amplifies this point of the novel, weakens the heart description of the novel, and tries to highlight the murderer's murderous mystery. The story lacks foreshadowing before and after, and is too vague. Julie's performance is slightly immature, and compared with Washington's Lao Lao, it seems to be somewhat alienated from the development of the story. Compared with the "Seven Deadly Sins" that I admire most, the difference is not a level.
I haven't written a movie review for seven years, and I feel so jerky.
