Aileen is a lifeless prostitute who never cared, just living a dirty life all by herself. No one likes being alone, no matter how tough they look. When someone approaches, the initial resistance is because of self-preservation. And once she gained her trust, the torrent of feelings that had been suppressed for a long time spewed out along this gully. And when you put so much emotion in one person, it usually doesn't work out well.
The film strongly depicts Aileen's obsession with feelings to alleviate the audience's disgust with her serial killings. But when she became addicted to murder, her tragic fate was doomed.
In fact, it's not that Aileen didn't want to live a good life, but it's impossible for a prostitute to find a decent job. It's a personal tragedy and a social tragedy.
