I haven't read the original, so I didn't know the plot of the original before I watched the movie. But I personally believe that a good movie should be a system of its own. Even if you don't know the background knowledge beforehand, you can have a relatively good experience.
But the emotional line of this movie is too vain, and the actors' acting skills are also disappointing. This is strange. I don't know much about the leading female actors, but I have watched many videos of Xiao Lizi. His acting skills may not have grown much with age (I always think that actors in his youth are more agile), but he hasn't gone downhill significantly because of his age. In this film, the sense of substitution brought to me by his acting skills fell off a cliff. If he was the only one who didn't perform well, I would understand that he was gradually losing his aura. The fact is that there is no actor's performance that makes people intoxicated.
This can only be said to be the director's problem, he failed to express those emotions. Everyone is like a stage performer, every action is too exaggerated, every line is like a poem recitation-maybe I hate movies that look like a stage play.
