I admit that sugar can make me happy, but am I willing to pay the price of this happiness? Through this documentary, I really want to reflect on many of my previous actions. Whenever I am in a bad mood, I eat an ice cream, a piece of chocolate, and a cup of milk tea. This happiness is only temporary, and maybe I don’t see anything for myself now It hurts, but when I get older, will I regret one day because of my youthful intemperance of sugar.
The documentary mentioned that women should not consume more than 6 teaspoons (24g) of sugar a day. What is the concept of 24g? An ordinary cup of plain milk tea contains 60g of sugar! I cried for my ignorance before; and the documentary also proposed a concept that different sources of calories have different effects on the human body, the same 1000 calories, if it is obtained from vegetable staple food and obtained from sugar, it is completely different! So I skipped dinner at night and indulged in eating a piece of chocolate. Anyway, the calories were similar. This view is completely wrong. If you get too many calories from sugar for a day, the consequences will be immeasurable, such as increased waistline, Fatty liver, emotional ups and downs, etc.
Therefore, my first impression after watching this documentary is that I must stop adding sugar, but I will not restrain the sugar in food. After all, in addition to sugar, there are many vitamins, fibers, proteins and other substances in food that are beneficial to the body. It's cool to quit sugar for a while, and it's always cool to quit sugar all the time!
