Victoria is someone who cares about others. She always wants to capture that emotional moment, but she can't achieve it on others no matter what.
In a friend's house, wild animals are hunted by humans, and the limbs of animals are made into coffee tables, sculptures, and photographs of animals and tribal natives are hung on the wall as a kind of display and hunting. Victoria painted the appearance of black people and began to dance African dance recklessly, but she didn't know that it touched the memory of her friend and was stopped. In front of others, you always have to be careful when you show yourself, and even simply be a person who only praises others, marvels at everything in other people's bedrooms, and sings praises for all other people's experiences.

The name of the story "Eclipse", "Eclipse", in my understanding is that some kind of Shinning thing is obscured by something bigger and falls into the shadows. And the golden highlights on the edge of the silhouette may be what Victoria is looking for, as if she wants to find out where and what the Shinning thing is.
Antonioni fully reflects the predicament of Victoria's character through Vitti's performance. In 1962, the story made an interpretation of the relationship between a woman's inner spiritual needs and the surrounding world and landscape through images, and there was no interpretive sentence in the whole film. The lines can be described as very advanced expressions. Looking at it a few years later, I am very impressed with and love this work by Antonioni.
