So the two sides forged a relationship, and Gant finally called the police that the young man had a bulldog, which eventually created the main reason for this story.

No matter how you look at it, Gantt looks like a victim, but he was portrayed by the movie as a big bad guy with moral decay. This is what the West calls humanistic thinking.
