In this film review, I briefly list what I saw, maybe you can understand the meaning of the title.
A follow-up to the first shot at the beginning, a long shot shows the whole family from outdoor to indoor, from the daughter's entire family, it can be said to be amazing, but it seems that it is only at the beginning, and there is no such obvious shot at the end, but still should be appreciated.
The scene of the heroine and the priest in the church, if it wasn't for flashbacks, I really didn't recognize the priest, and I felt very cordial when I saw Annabelle in the priest's arms. Congratulations to Wen Dao's Conjuring Universe. member.
Except for the ending, the climax is when the priest plays with the egg, knocking open the egg in his hand (this method of knocking an egg turns out to be common all over the world). The three eggs on the table blew black blood, making the heroine truly subvert her atheism (the little actor did not forget to add a little humor), which made the audience feel sour. (I didn't make a typo, I think that word better expresses how I felt at the time.)
Also because of the "origin" between the crying woman and the water, the director also likes to use the reflection in the water in this film. Does the heroine with the reflection in the water at the end indicate that the crying woman has not really died?
But there are still many flaws.
Whether crying woman heroine to little girl little boy, has been roaring. It's not impossible to scare the audience by yelling, but it's still a bit too deliberate, and it's even a bit flooded in this film.
For the woman who broke in later (that is, the mother who lost her child at the beginning), the description of the psychological change of returning to her mind was too sloppy (do you explain it to the audience with just one look?), at least add a flashback to let him think about the previous It's okay to be happy with the past, but after killing the evil spirit, there is no explanation for his departure.
And the priest who was shot, even ran up to the attic and came up. . . You let him stagger up, or even climb up, even if he was shot, can he still run so fast? We haven't been shot and we don't dare to ask.
Broken mirrors again and again, extinguished candles and lights, a gust of wind (that is, the wind seems to be a bit strong) allows us to see the shadow of the soul, and the new place is the scar on the arm. (By the way, does this crying woman really have to grab everyone in the family on the arm before she can start killing?)
Director Wen, as a producer, successfully led him into the Conjuring universe. There are countless similarities with Conjuring, from the style of the room, the way of frightening to the arrangement of the plot, but the level is still not as good as Conjuring.
A director and a producer are really two different things. I still hope that Wen Ziren can direct a new conjuring movie by himself. Otherwise, so many audiences really can't explain it.
