No one came to teach him thumbs up

Important spoiler: He won't be back.

The opening scene is the same as T1 and T2, the future world terminator tramples on human skulls, but this time the battlefield is changed to the beach, reminiscent of the Normandy landing scenes in some war films.

The heroine Dany works in the same factory with her brother. The supervisor said that because of the new machine, her brother is going to be laid off. The sentence "This is the future" said by the supervisor pointing to the machine is a line to point out the subject.

The two future warriors have passed through to Dany's era. The female number two Grace is a strengthener, similar to the young master of "Ghost in the Shell"; the villain REV-9 is a T1000 that abandoned the style of the Silver Shadowman and changed to the venom route in terms of color. He originally had the ghost rider. A future job, but it doesn’t seem to make much difference to switch to being a Terminator-they all like to wear leather clothes, ride motorcycles, and often wear off their face during fights, leaving only a skull.

The attack on Dani at the factory was the catalyst that changed her destiny. This play of hammering the hammer is presented in the trailer. If there is any significant improvement in this work compared to the previous ones, it should be that the action scenes of melee combat have become more fluid. I haven't felt much about the appearance of actress Mackenzie Davis, but this time her short hair and menswear look unexpectedly suit her. From some angles, she is a bit like Mrs. Shimogi in "House of Cards".

Dani and Grace are at the end of their lives and are rescued by Sarah Connor. The two men retaliated and stole her car. As a result, the seemingly fierce booster suffered from hypoglycemia in just a few minutes like Ultraman. The car theft duo was quickly caught by the owner and forced to invite her into the group.

The reason Sara insisted on protecting Dany was, "I was her". Yes, in a parallel time and space, Sarah Connor is also called Dany, whose full name is "Birth of the Storm" Daenerys, the Unburnt, the Mother of Dragon, the Shacklebreaker, the Queen of Meereen, and the Savannah. Kalixi"...In short, she had an emotional entanglement with a man a generation younger than herself, and this story was even moved by the always hippy smiley Deadpool.

The B story of the film is how Sarah got out of the pain of losing her son. The 1997 Judgment Day was stopped by their mother and son. In 1998, another T800 crossed back and shot John in front of her. I just re-watched "Terminator 2" last week, so I saw Connor's mother and son in 1998 very kind. But this version of the young governor looks a bit contradictory. In terms of using special effects technology to help celebrities rejuvenate, the "Terminator" series was done relatively early. In 2009, "Terminator 4" appeared in a young version of the governor. I personally feel that the best one is the T800 that "Terminator 5" crossed to 1984 and then was destroyed by Sarah, followed by the one with "Terminator 4" with soy sauce. This film was in 1998 and the previous film crossed to 1973. The one who picked up little Sarah didn't do much the same.

While fleeing, Sarah discovered that the mysterious person who had been providing information to help her hunt the Terminator for many years was the same person as the rescuer that Grace's future boss wanted her to find. The trio went through some hardships and came to the mysterious man Carl's residence in Texas. This film focuses on portraying the difficulty of entering the United States from Mexico, probably for the purpose of concealing Trump's border policy by the way. As mentioned above, Grace is a bit like the female president of "House of Cards", and the one who is about to appear here is truly a presidential volunteer, and also has extensive experience with Trump.

At the midpoint of the story, the three met Carl, who was the T800 who killed John. Here, the story A and B meet: The rescuer Dani and Grace are looking for is Sara’s murderous enemy, and Dani comforts her feelings out of control. Sarah, the two in the woods look like a mother and daughter.

The T800 under the pseudonym Carl spent an ordinary life with a wife and son, and learned human feelings. Once there was a boy who tried to teach a Terminator how to speak and do things like a human. He taught the Terminator a lot of things, but the teaching alone would not let him cry. Carl, who possessed the same performance and appearance, seemed to have failed to learn to shed tears after killing the boy, but he at least had the heart of redemption, so he decided to return to the arena and help Dany and the others. Sarah temporarily resisted turning her face with Carl, but agreed to settle the ledger with him after the REV-9 was settled.

Since he has a full understanding of the human nature of life and death, he knows that even without Skynet, human beings are still in disaster, so Carl has already prepared many guns. Of course, the more important reason lies in the fact that he lives in Texas where the folk style is pure (biao) and park (han). However, none of these weapons can eliminate REV-9, only electromagnetic pulses.

Sarah got the EMP weapon based on her contacts, and the enemy also chased it, and both sides hit from the ground to the sky. The four teamed up to beat REV-9 into the sea. However, this was only a false victory. During the battle, the EMP weapon was accidentally damaged, and the protagonist lost the opportunity to destroy the enemy and fell into a situation of losing everything.

In the dark night of the soul, Grace told how she and Dany met in the future world, and revealed the truth about Dany's identity: she is not the mother of the savior, she is the savior himself. Sarah, who has forgotten the looks of her son, now the images of Dani and John overlap in her heart, and the stories A and B meet again.

The protagonist who had just fought the enemy from land to the sky, this time fought him from the sky to the sea. Carl, who has lost an arm, leaves the bottom of the water and meets with his friends. The story enters the third act. The protagonist who completed the assembly of teammates led REV-9 to the decisive battle field. Carl picked up the hammer, and Grace chose the big iron chain that the ghost rider, the predecessor of REV-9, liked the most. After a fierce battle, the protagonists are exhausted. But the enemy has not been completely destroyed, and Grace proposes to use her energy device to give REV-9 a fatal blow. After struggling with pain, Dani accepted the suggestion.

Sarah, who had always refused to treat T800 as a human, finally recognized this partner and awakened him with the name "Carl". Carl helped Dany complete the final blow to REV-9. In order to protect Dany and Sara from shock, he chose to take REV-9 and fall together.

Sarah looked at Karl from the pit, just like watching the T800 slowly diving into the molten steel on a high platform, but this time he did not raise his thumbs at the last moment because of the cry of the encouragement beside Sarah. The boy is gone. Instead, she will be a stronger and more mature female warrior, Dany. In the days to come, she will fight alongside Sarah to change the dark destiny of mankind.

Just like I don’t like "Wolverine 3" after the perfect ending of "X-Men: Reverse the Future", even though this film is the curtain call of T800, it gives me a sufficient sense of ritual. Stubbornly determined that the ending of "Terminator 5" that the father and daughter-in-law wandered around the world was the T800 deserved.

In the previous article, I compared "Terminator 5" to "The Force Awakens" of the "Terminator" series, predicting that this film will become a prequel to "Star Wars". Now it seems that the film is a bit overestimated. This one is the "Terminator" version of "The Force Awakens." However, the role of the governor in this film is at least the last minute of the battle. Compared with Han Solo being attacked by his son, luck is already much better.

Among the various propaganda slogans about the film, the one that appeared the most was "Directly undertake the orthodox sequel to "Terminator 2". But in my eyes, the first few movies are nothing unorthodox. Of course, none of them can reach the height of "Terminator 2", but they have maintained their respect for the classic predecessors as much as possible. On the contrary, the ending of "Terminator 2" was overturned as soon as the film came up.

The most moving thing about "Terminator 2" is the relationship between T800 and Little John. In the end, this "father" sacrificed himself in exchange for a better future for his son. This film is good, first killed his son, and then the guy who should have established a father-son relationship with him went to Happy for more than 20 years. For someone who just re-watched "Terminator 2" less than a week ago, this kind of brutal plot setting is too uncomfortable.

But if you change from a calmer and more utilitarian perspective, you will find that such an arrangement is not difficult to understand. The role of John Connor is an embarrassing existence in all works except "Terminator 2". A leader who leads mankind against Skynet and turns defeat into victory should be a god-like existence. The more perfect the character is, the more difficult it is to present it in the film, because there is no room for showing the arc of the character. So only when he degenerates into a hairy boy, he can play a little trick. This is the reason why John Connor in "Terminator 2" is so pleasing. All subsequent versions will not work, "Terminator 3" is too useless, "Terminator 4" is too irritable, and "Terminator 5" simply degenerates into a big villain. This role has been disabled, and apart from letting him offline, there is no more suitable arrangement.

After accepting this setting, looking at the two old partners who carry the feelings, there is a feeling of "Manchester by the Sea". Schwarzenegger and Hamilton are the Cassia Fleck and Michele in "Hyman". El Williams, the man killed the child intentionally or unintentionally, this is their heart knot. This kind of trauma can never be completely healed, and it can only be slightly relieved by transferring the free love to other children. In "Hyman", Cassia Affleck established a brief father-son relationship with his nephew, but he still couldn't live with his nephew for a long time. In the film, Carl spent 20 years of warm time with his wife and children, but in the end he still has to use his death to atone for complete relief. In both stories, the female characters are stronger and less likely to be crushed by the tragedy of life.

When I was young, I did not know why I was always fascinated by this kind of movies about artificial intelligence destroying mankind. In addition to "Terminator", "The Matrix" is also my favorite. To a certain extent, my good impression of this film also comes from the "Matrix style". As the intersection of the two major series, it is the villain REV-9 of the film. The director deliberately designed a lot of actions similar to "The Matrix" Smith for him, such as his swooping when chasing. What is more obvious is the scene where his hands turned black and liquefied when he stole computer data, and he penetrated into the intruder. It is hard not to remind people of Smith's trick of infecting assimilation and copying infinitely.

"Kashen's return to the "Terminator" series" has now come true. Although he was not directed by him personally, his participation as the producer and first screenwriter was significantly higher than the previous three films; and another "lifetime"— -"The Matrix 4" is also on the way. After watching this film, I bet 1 yuan, the savior of "The Matrix 4" should also be a girl.
