gorgeous despair

Because of "JSA", Park Chan-wook is one of my favorite Korean directors, but I haven't watched his revenge trilogy, and "Old Boy" has become an old disc lying in the closet.

In fact, I can still accept the theme of revenge, the theme of happiness and revenge, and the black and cold action. I remember watching "KILL BILL" and I was very excited, but I don't know why Park Zanyu's first two parts of the trilogy are bloody and violent. The perverted label makes me a little resistant, but the protagonist of this "Kind Gold" revenge is a woman (Lee Young-ae). Once a beautiful woman is connected with revenge, even the blood becomes extra flirtatious and sexy.

Sure enough, the gold did not disappoint me. Park Chan-wook's bizarre camera language, gorgeous composition and religious music weave a story of revenge into a noble black velvet brocade robe, draped over the glamorous gold body, and the robe's Lining is a philosophical proposition about redemption.

Park Chan-wook is always a director who makes people wonder how he will perform in the next scene, and always surprises people, but there are still things that I am not satisfied with in this film. Some of the details are too complicated, and the brocade of revenge is decorated too much: The powerful network of revenge woven by Jin Zi in prison through kindness and dedication is actually only one of the most practical ones, and the sacrifice made by this inmate for her is more than what Jin Zi did for her back then. The other inmates are just assistants to help Jin Zi turn revenge into a somewhat religious deification.

Speaking of religion, Park Chan-wook, who has studied philosophy, is completely anti-religious, although he uses a slightly religious soundtrack. Therefore, there are hypocritical and despicable priests in the film, and there are pictures of pistols hidden in Buddhist scriptures, but after the overthrow of all religions, even though Jin Zi is like a goddess, she is completely avenged for her dead children, but she still has not been redeemed. In the heavy snow, she buried her head in the tofu symbolizing innocence and howled. Even if a lovely daughter lived for her innocence, her life would still be restless. Can those parents who killed their enemies really be as peaceful as ever? Vengeance may wipe out hatred, but the heart will eventually be broken. Since there is no way out, Park Zanyu can only end with a heavy snowfall. This revenge is the most despairing of all the revenge films I've ever seen, even if it is unavoidable to use a child as a representative of hope and to undertake the dream of "live white", however, the black of the film means red eye shadow like gold , startling, lingering,

Li Ying'ai's performance is remarkable. To be honest, this kind of double-faced female character who has endured 13 years of revenge for revenge, longing for redemption through revenge but still unable to get rid of the female character full of conflict in her heart should be what all actresses yearn for, right? Actor Cui Minzhi is an old actor, such a gentle middle-aged pervert, he plays effortlessly and is familiar with it. But what made my eyes shine twice were two characters with only one shot. One was the gangster who wanted to kidnap Jinzi and her daughter, but it was the second lieutenant Biao in Dongmo Village, and the other was the grown-up Hongmu, who turned out to be Liu Zhitai (hehe, remember the passing of spring).

This film is full of stunning scenes, especially a row of victimized children's family members in raincoats sitting on a bench with Jin Zi holding a gun in a bright alleyway to kill one gangster and then striding to chase another hijacker The traverse long shot of her daughter's gangster, it is said that there is a more beautiful similar shot in "Old Boy", I think, I will see it in two days.
