If you don't read the original novel, this movie casts Chad as a badass

It's like Chad is tricking Louis into touching the cemetery.

The movie doesn't tell Chad about the resurrected creatures in the cemetery

The meaning of the original book is very clear. After the small animal is resurrected, it can't cause any evil because of its body shape.

The death of the son in the original book has nothing to do with the resurrected cat

Large animals are likely to cause evil events, let alone resurrection of humans

The movie was directly shot as the resurrection cat indirectly caused the death of the child, and then Chad came back with a apology with almost no connection.

Saying that Louis shouldn't touch the cemetery, gives the impression that Chad is the first pot from start to finish...

What kind of modification is this?

It's a routine from start to finish, and I'm tired of saying the word "routine". Those who praised this movie, don't you have any conscience? Don't say I had wrong expectations, this movie is not worth looking forward to at all!

Compared with the old version in 1989, a lot of revisions have been made. The good ones are faster, and some scenes are scarier. Jump scares are also commonly used in horror movies. There is nothing to complain about. The bad is too formal. Nothing bright.

Pet Sematary quotes

  • Jud Crandall: It's not some campfire story.

[referring to the symbols on the trees from the drawing in the book]

Louis Creed: I saw these on the trees up there.

Jud Crandall: They're warnings. The local tribes carved them before they fled. They fear that place. There's something up there, something that dates way back.

  • Jud Crandall: It was a myth. Kids used to dare each other to go into the woods at night. They knew the power of that place. They feared it. Those woods belong to something else. The ground is bad. It maybe just some crazy folktale, but there is something up in those woods, something that brings things back. Sometimes dead is better.
