The beginning of the story is indeed too slow, and slow motion is often used. Although this can make the protagonist have a "type", it is too flooded.
It should be said that the whole movie starts from Donnie Yen's appearance, and the story begins to get compact. The characters are also much clearer.
The first time I saw Sammo Hung and Wu Jing being bad guys, I was really not used to it.
The single most successful thing about this movie is its background music, which is nice and atmospheric.
