From "A Quiet Place" to "Blindfolded" to "Dead Silence", horror films produced by Hollywood in recent years have been linked to the "facial features". When it first came out, this kind of setting really made people's eyes shine, but after watching it too much, it's just like that, the routines and patterns are similar, and the lack of creativity has become a flaw. Over time, the market for such films is getting smaller and smaller, and eventually no one cares.
German, American co-produced film "Dead Silence"
Genre: Horror
Main cast: Stanley Tucci, Kiernan Shipka...
Story overview: Deaf teen and her family confront/flee a city attacked by 'terror bats'
Release Date: April 10, 2019 in the United States
The author has never had a lot of fondness for horror films, so I don’t want to talk too much about film critics, so I pick some key points to watch.
1. The actors are interesting
The male protagonist Stanley Tucci looks exactly the same as the British actor Mark Strong, and even has the same voice line, it is simply carved out of a mill.
The heroine, Kiernan Shipka (playing her daughter Ally), is beautiful and provocative in her acting skills. She shows the wisdom, courage and courage of a deaf girl in her gestures.
2. The plot is boring
The opening scene was very fast . The "terrorist bat" attacked, and the Andrews family began to implement an escape plan, a group of six (one of whom was Hugh's buddy).
The next story (3 events) is cliché
First, Glenn (buddy) overturned the car (to avoid the deer), and in order to divert the "Bat Legion" (so that Andrews and his party could escape smoothly), he fired his own gun. It's a pity that in case there is one (unexpected reversal point), the hungry "bat" still has its eyes on the vehicle where Andrews is. There is no way, Hugh can only take the risk, carefully set Glenn's car on fire, use the flame to drive them away, and finally escape smoothly. .
In order to highlight the immortal aura of the male protagonist, the male supporting actor can only die in vain. The arrangement of this bridge section is quite unnatural and improvised.
Then Kelly (mother) was scratched in the calf by the "bat". After settling the family, Hugh and Ally (daughter) came to an empty town (only a mysterious preacher) in order to find medicine. Seeing this, it goes without saying that there is another encounter. Similar to the previous paragraph, the male protagonist lit the mop, activated the fire extinguishing device, and finally escaped.
The main purpose of this story is to introduce the role of "preacher", but the author speculates that there may be two other hidden meanings.
First, to further extend the duration of the works to meet the conventional standards.
Second, the topic of "human nature" is introduced to make the work show some depth.
In the end, the preacher tried hard and soft to take Ally away. As expected, he was resisted by Andrews and his party (Lynn died, which is reasonable), and was smashed into a pig's head (hanged) on the spot. The remaining 4 people continued to move forward. ..
The appearance of the last episode is a bit abrupt, not to question the "reasonableness of existence", but to discuss the "necessity of appearance". The topic of human nature, which can be subtly outputted lightly, is the best. Like in this film, it is a different matter to pull hard, buy and sell by force, and such "output" is worthless.
The ending is inexplicable , how can a "horror movie" become a "love movie" inadvertently? How did the little boy with zero appearance rate suddenly become "Robin Hood"? How did the new world where "people and monsters" coexist evolve? The screenwriter's "blank" (jump) made Zaixia speechless and dejected.
3. The images are interesting
a, Hue
Cool tones, highlighting the depressing and sad atmosphere
b, screen
Not "horror", but "disgusting" enough
4, the settings are boring
a, the protagonist must have no brains (weak chicken in high school, tough guy in adulthood)
b, the supporting role must be sacrificed for no reason (a macho in high school, puffy in adulthood)
c. Human nature discussion, process-oriented, dogmatic, and lack of further thinking (the end of the world is coming, what causes the collapse of human nature directly? What causes indirectly lead to the deterioration of human nature? If it is generalized, it may be difficult to interpret everything with "religious thinking" Let the audience have a deeper understanding)
Stop talking, get tired, sleep...
Screenwriter ★★★☆☆ (I haven't seen the original work, I don't know if it is the same "smart jump" as the movie plot)
Director★☆☆☆☆ (vulgar)
Actor ★★★★☆ (Not bad)
Plot ☆☆☆☆ (the opening is "normal", the middle is "mediocre", and the ending is "conventional")
Visual effects ★★★☆☆ (Lack of special effects, it seems that the funds are insufficient, some of the pictures are quite disgusting, and it is easy to feel uncomfortable)
Sound effects ★★★★☆ (the soundtrack is bright, rendering the terrifying atmosphere)
Recommendation ★☆☆☆☆ (3 stars in the first half, 1 star in the second half, forced "Little Freshness" at the end -1 star)
