This is a movie about the Italian nobility. The revolutionary changes in Sicily were integrated into the family of the Prince of Salina, and the last grandson was torn between patriotism and aristocratic traditions. There is an oil painting-like tone in the film, which truly reflects the life of the Italian nobility at that time. The last half-hour dance party is beautiful, and it also represents the disintegration of the powerful. The never-ending dance has an end.
To remain eternal, one must keep changing. We were lions and leopards, and we were replaced by jackals and dogs. This is an elegy for myself and my class.
