Papillon: Forgive me for being unruly and indulging in love and freedom in this life

I remember watching this movie on a rainy afternoon.

When Fermu plunged into Papillon's life story from the humid and sultry tropical rain, he was a little confused and a little involved.

Papillon, a gangster in the Parisian society, has a butterfly tattooed on his chest, and the name of the butterfly is "Papillon". Later, because of a trivial incident, Papillon was sentenced to prison and sent to a desert island prison in the French colony in the Pacific Ocean.

Then there is the perseverance, the same day of jailbreak for decades - get caught, continue to escape, continue to get caught.

Until gray hair, until old age, until all friends give up resistance, until the world has forgotten Papillon. He finally escaped. But he is old.

When Papillon lay on a raft made of coconut trees and roamed the Pacific Ocean, I silently shed a few tears for him. A person's life is spent like this on a tropical prison island, without hope. In the end, when the hope was fulfilled, it was already a matter of fact, and the youth was no longer there.

Papillon's misfortune lies in the era of indiscriminate black and white, which made him suffer injustice; Papillon's luck lies in his persistence, in that he finally reached the dawn.

But how many decades can a person have? How many true friends can a person have in a lifetime? If Papillon spent his entire life on a tropical island in the Pacific Ocean, would anyone in this world know that there is a person named Papillon? Just like other anonymous people who are dead or old on Prison Island, does anyone know their lives? In other words, someone really cares, have these people ever lived in this world? !

Sometimes a person's life depends on these unpredictable moments.

This film is actually a remake of a classic film from the 1970s. The larger part of the remake and rewrite is probably the friendship in prison. Under the interpretation of Hannamu and Rami Malek, the new version is quite emotional. Although, it is certain that Papillon is by no means gay, but the decades of escape and arrest in prison have made him have an indelible relationship with his fellow inmates. This kind of feeling may have more layers than love, and it is even more difficult to let go.

So when Babylon finally dragged his aged body and jumped to the sea without hesitation, his good friends had mixed feelings and didn't know how to deal with it. He has long been accustomed to the time spent with Babylon, whether it is to escape from prison, escape, or be punished or exiled, all the things the two have experienced together have been deeply embedded in their decades of prison life.

Another invaluable feature of the film "Babylon" is the complete restoration of the Pacific Prison Island, including the re-engraving of the scenes of Leprosy Island, all of which reflect the cruelty and different customs of the colonies in the early 20th century.

People who love freedom will like this film, even if it is not perfect, but Papillon's uninhibited spirit of love for freedom in his life will still make people cry.
