On the meaning of family.
In front of a standard middle-class happy family, Mary's behavior reminds me of a moth to a fire, she's too cold, watching movies all night, nagging about who's slapped her on the subway, car dumps Aim, and the insecurity brought about by the failed marriage, she needs to be close to and even become a member of this family to resist the cold. But they didn't accept her. In the eyes of normal families, she didn't distinguish between friends and friends' families, and she didn't know what she wanted.
But she needed the love so much, the love of the family.
The elder brother who lost his wife is also out of tune with this family. After the unfilial son rushed out of the house, he was neither angry nor sad, his life was just empty, and he didn't know how to continue, or in other words, it seemed to be fine.
Every family will face one of the first to go, how can the rest of life not stop or speed up, time is there, watching you quietly, are you afraid of death? Are you afraid of parting?
Is the family just like us who are similar and different hugging together for warmth?
Another year, life and death, life and death. Mary, as an angle to spy on life, made me, a pessimistic young man, terribly afraid of the future. How can I make myself happy? Now that I'm 23 years old, will watching this movie be different in five years' time?
