Watching this film from my own perspective based on my life experience in the United States

There are many bugs in this movie. For example, the male protagonist killed all the gang members as an ordinary employee, and the male protagonist did not pave the way for his wife and daughter. The first bug can be said to be the heroism of movie design. The second bug is indeed difficult for ordinary people to understand, but it is understandable when you think about it carefully.

First, let's talk about the US judicial system. I am not a law major, but have a little research on the law. There are two reasons why I am a business major, and I will learn some relevant legal knowledge. I was robbed at gunpoint when I first came to the United States, and I need to testify in court and learn relevant legal knowledge. The principle of criminal cases in the United States is beyond reasonable doubt. In popular terms, the judge assumes that everyone is innocent, and the evidence presented by the prosecutor is opposed to the prosecutor one by one. As long as the evidence presented by the prosecutor has no basis Existing evidence to refute, will not be convicted of the highest crime. So this is why criminal cases are difficult to convict. At this time, the prosecution usually adopts a plea bargain, which in Chinese means that the defendant will cooperate to plead guilty but be convicted of a lower crime. For example, theoretically it should be convicted of first-degree murder, but the evidence is not very conclusive, and the prosecution will seek cooperation from the defendant to try to charge with second-degree murder. That's probably what happened in the movie. The very exciting scene in the film is that the male protagonist gave up the opportunity to let the gangster who killed his son go to prison for five years and instead chose not to accuse him, but to kill him. No one thought the male lead would do this. Then explain that it is actually a normal thing for gangs to shoot each other on the street in the United States. Generally, many slums are gathering places for gangsters, and ordinary people will not go there. It is also mentioned in the video that it is in a very remote place, so it is very normal. How should I put it, the US is indeed not as good as China in terms of public security, but many places are still safe. The United States is a capitalist country, and having money means having everything. Rich places pay more taxes and more police. You can also buy guns, install power grids, and hire private security.

Then I would like to talk about my own experience. Not long after arriving in the United States, three boys were robbed at gunpoint on the subway after class in downtown Chicago at noon. At that time, I remembered clearly, when I was about to run for a moment, the black man behind said that he should not run and then ran and shot. Now that I think about it, I really don't know what the consequences of running at that time were. Later, the sequelae produced no longer dare to take the subway. But no doubt I was lucky that I wasn't hurt and the suspect was caught. Because it was still in the subway station, the camera clearly captured the picture of the robber. Finally, we went to the police station to identify, and after several rounds of identification, we wanted to confirm which one was the suspect. Finally, because armed robbery is a felony criminal case, I have to testify in court. The first week the court called and said the suspect pleaded not guilty, so I'm going to court. My classmates and I were very scared, and we even discussed making masks to cover our faces, fearing that the suspect would retaliate after he was released from prison. But the fact is that you are a very regular person who goes to school every day and comes home every day, and it is easy for the suspect to know where you are and stay there. After the suspect pleaded guilty, we didn't go to court. In fact, for most people, even if their family members are killed and the case is not solved, there is absolutely nothing they can do. U.S. roads are largely unmonitored. 80% of homicides in Chicago go unsolved each year. That's how life is, and fighting violence with violence won't solve the problem.

Let's talk about the law again. There are many things that cannot be solved by law, this is a very real problem. I'm learning ethics recently. Everyone has a set of rules of conduct. In fact, revenge or not revenge is everyone's own choice. Most people don't take revenge because of incompetence. Some people don't take revenge because maybe they believe they don't have the right to end other people's lives, then repay their grievances with virtue. And Shinobu chose revenge, but he didn't know that he had stepped into a vicious circle and finally turned into a killing machine. People in war all think they are right and not all die in the end. Well, if I really encountered these things, I really don't know what I would choose. I don't know if I will follow my own moral principles. In fact, if we analyze it from the perspective of business, cost and benefit, the protagonist may not be right to avenge his eldest son. Because at that time he still had his wife and his young son.

Anyway, this is a very good film in my opinion. It is in line with the national conditions of the United States, and the individual heroism that Americans like also tests the morality of human nature.
