Not to mention the inexhaustible connection and origin between this film and Infernal Affairs, the touching picture quality of this Blu-ray version alone is enough to make me cry in tears.
Thanks to director John Woo for the cutest hair brother and Wei Zai. It is rare for Wei Zai in his flat head period to have such a handsome and melancholy moment. Fa Ge's dashing and humorous look as always makes me never get tired of seeing him.
There are four favorite episodes: the gun confrontation between the police and the undercover in the smoke of the factory, the tender moment between the boss and the subordinate on the rooftop, the identity questioning in the yacht, the rose in Xiaogao's ward and the face change in a second. Wei Zai and Fa Ge are both so calm and free to play each other's acting skills, and both of them are so handsome that people can't take their eyes off them.
Originally, I was looking at the love of Johnny's boss played by Huang Sir in the short comment on Ah Lang, but in retrospect, it is not too much to say that it was a four-cornered love.
