Anasnin is childish, innocent, sexy, confident, and a liar. She is sometimes a woman and sometimes a child, and both men and women are moved when they see her. Henry Miller in the movie is like coming out of a book, without any surprises. What he did just confirms the impression we took for granted of him before: decadence, promiscuity, writing "The Tropic of Cancer", having a His wife is Joan, and his lover is Anasning. More and more boring.
Joan's appearance when she is jealous is particularly charming. She pretended to be obedient, and then became furious when she learned the truth. Tired, she fell asleep with Anasin in her arms.
