Growth is the perfect farewell

Watching How to Train Your Dragon 3 last weekend was the long-awaited final chapter.

Years ago, the cute little black dragon Toothless and the timid and tenacious Hiccup came into my sight, and they were destined to be my thoughts.

I'm probably the kind of person who is easily sympathetic.

He is a worthless boy in the eyes of the clan. The entire island's clansmen, including his patriarch father, are responsible for slaying dragons, and only he believes that dragons are friends of mankind. In spite of the ridicule of his clansmen, he grew unconfident but tenaciously, insisted on his ideals, and explored the outside world by relying on the records left by his predecessors.

One day he happened to encounter a wounded little black dragon, and it was the most dangerous and smartest Night Fury that only existed in legends. Powerful, ferocious, and cute, the dragon was hostile and wary of him, but he tamed it with his kindness and love.

Since then, they have overcome difficulties together, saving Berk Island from danger time and time again. The clansmen accepted the existence of dragons and became friends with the dragon clan, and Boke Island became the only paradise in the human world where humans and dragons coexist.

He and it have also become the most reliable comrades-in-arms, the closest friends, and the most trusted supporters in each other's lives.

Yet neither he nor it are complete. It had half its tail missing and needed him to fly; and he had a broken leg, thinking it alone could give him courage and strength. They are so inseparable, it seems that they are gifts created by God to give each other, like two angels with a broken wing, they can only fly by hugging each other.

Time flies, from a teenager to a young man, he found his long-lost mother and became the new patriarch, who also became the king of the dragon family. He continued to explore the boundaries of the world, and it continued to be responsible for the mischief, day after day, year after year, free and lazy.

But Berk Island is not its place.

When the light sha that was used as an alluring ear appeared in front of its eyes, it was struck by love in an instant.

Without the complex emotions of human beings, the appearance of falling in love is directly and appropriately expressed by the two animals. In front of the noble and elegant person who wanted to win a smile, he tried his best to be self-defeating, stupid and cute, even the head of the dragons, Ye Fury, was like a rookie.

It has a tie in its heart, and it is equipped with a tail that can fly alone. It flew with it, flew over the end of the world, flew into the hidden realm, and found the place that it longed for.

He never thought it would be gone forever, and he never thought he would be separated from it one day. But when he saw it accepting the worship of the dragon family in a secret place where there was only a dragon and no one, even if he was lost, he decided to let it go.

Without Toothless, Hiccup seems to have become that unconfident boy again, he believes that without it, he can't do anything well, and he will remain useless.

But he still has Astrid. She understood him, understood him, believed in him, and always stood by his side.

She told him with action: you and me. She made him understand that he was here not only because of Toothless, but also because of his own bravery, perseverance and kindness.

He finally grew into a good patriarch, confident and strong. When he saw himself, I knew he and Toothless were really saying goodbye.

The parting scene is the big tearjerker scene, to which he says "GO" over and over, and they stare at each other in the background of Wanlong's return.

Reluctant to separate, still have to separate.

He has the courage to go forward and open a new chapter in his life, and it has been able to fly alone and find its true place.

In one's life, the first thing to pursue is the independence, strength and integrity of the individual. This is the cornerstone of everything such as life completeness, life completeness.

I am very grateful to the director for not arranging a world where humans and dragons coexist in the third film. They are different and should all have their own home.

At the end of the film, he has a close lover and a pair of children. The daughter is as naughty as the mother, and the son is as timid but brave as the father. It also has its dragon queen and three little devils.

Years later, they reunited at the end of the world. After only a moment of stagnation, they could still roll, laugh, and make trouble together, as well as a brisk saying, "Dude, it's time for your tail to be painted."

Although they have been apart for years, they have always been in each other's lives and have never left.

Such an ending, some people say that it falls into a cliché, is the most satisfactory ending for me - it does not need to be vigorous, there is warmth and joy in the bland, and it is the most beautiful movement.

Goodbye, my Hiccup and Toothless, you in the movie and me outside the movie, have the courage to not read the past and the confidence to not be afraid of the future. Growth is the perfect farewell.
