"The Tuner" 6.5 points Let's not talk about the bugs in the plot, let's first understand what type reversal is.
——————Spoiler ——————
The biggest surprise of this movie should be the reversal of the genre. It was really boring from the beginning to pave the way for the romantic comedy genre of the first half of the play, but after the sudden genre reversal, it instantly grabbed the audience's attraction.
In the first half of the play, I thought it was an Indian remake of "La La Land", especially the bad plot where the male protagonist met a love-style Taiwan idol drama at the corner. The type-reversed murders give me double the euphoria.
The processing on some shots also made me think it was appropriate to the theme. When the male protagonist tried to feel the feeling of being blind at the door of the victim's house before encountering the murder, he gave a large backlit shot. This shot simulates the feeling of being blind. There is also a scene where the male protagonist is really blind and wakes up for the first time, which is also a scene in a very dark night.
There is also a good foreshadowing of the last plot reversal. The male protagonist avenged the death of the kindest tuk-tuk driver in the group of four, which made the male protagonist determined to kill the murderer. This foreshadowing makes the movie a little more interesting.
Two hours of filming for such a multi-reversal movie is actually not too long, but the reason why it feels too long is that the main plot is too unclear. When the audience thinks this is a love movie, their attention is paid to the male. On the main emotional line, the first type reversal broke the main plot. And after the male protagonist escaped from the police chief, there is another story line of human organs. Keep breaking the main story and it feels long.
The male protagonist is also very blunt when he sees the plot of the neighbor's old lady, and basically doesn't explain it well. What I want to complain the most is the meeting between the male protagonist and his ex-girlfriend. How much do you like "La La Land", director?
