I sat at home, at my desk, made a cup of milk and hot cocoa, and then watched "life in a day".
It's been half an hour now and I'm done.
Living in the same world, everyone's life is so different. But most of us are ordinary, we have to endure poverty, disaster and disease in the process of birth and death. On July 24th, in 2017, I was traveling wildly in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. In 2018, I was still slowly adjusting to the test. On July 24, 2010, I was probably still in an extracurricular cram school in the second year of junior high, living a day that I didn't want to study. On this day, there are 24 hours, 1440 minutes, 86400 seconds, some people think about their life when they take off their oxygen masks, some people take their children to surf, some people are just born, some people die in a carnival stampede, and some people are afraid to leave Never come back after home.
In the first half of the film, there is too much human suffering. Families overwhelmed by the disease, "I used to be afraid that you got cancer, and then you got it; then I was afraid that you would relapse, and then you relapsed, so now I'm not afraid of anything". Because of my own experience, I hate all movies about diseases. They are too pure and too beautiful to be false. In a family surrounded by illness, fear is no longer the primary feeling, but more of a boring repetition of helplessness and stress, unable to see where the light of tomorrow is, believing in all gods, and longing to become a miracle of God.
Death is very near, the miracle has not been realized, and the book of life and death that God has thrown away lightly.
This is too cruel, to witness this, to think about this, even to shoot, watch, review, it is too cruel. I'm not ready for this, and I'm praying it never happens again.
So I don't like it.
The little boy who shines his shoes likes his learning machine the most. "Wikipedia has stories, history, mathematics, science, religion, everything, and it's a huge library." He said the shoe shine frame he wears every day is "used to make a lot of money" and that his favorite person is his dad, who "loves me more than he loves his job".
He didn't know the class divide, that the candy given to him by passers-by was a "handout", and that the two fives in his pocket could barely make ends meet. As the little boy in "The Thief's Family" said, "Only children who can't study at home go to school".
But he has to study history, mathematics, science, religion, and his eyes are pure and ignorant. He's full of hope for tomorrow, and he's passed on beauty to me.
A man who travels around the world on a bicycle has been to more than 100 countries and has been hit by a car 6 times. He compares the size of flies in various countries, but he is thinking about the reunification of South Korea and North Korea.
A man with fifteen children and a dead wife spends the rest of his life in a dirty house, still thinking that "God will not forget us, he created us, and God will not forget the people he created".
When the kongming lanterns were put on, some people grinned happily, while others hugged and kissed. I also put my hands together, hoping that I can have a very smooth life, and that the people I love will always live a healthy and happy life.
The Chinese translation of the title this time is very good. Although the video editing is a little out of order, (I think), this out of order can be regarded as a re-creation of the documentary.
The girl at the end of the film, like us, always thinks that her life is extraordinary and expects that earth-shattering things will happen to her one day. We tried our best to prove to the world that a day for ordinary people can be pleasant, grateful, and full of surprises. Until the moment approaching midnight, we can only tell ourselves "another day passed and nothing happened". I am just an ordinary girl with an ordinary life.
There is no China in the film, but I belong to the world :)
Put together an ending with two sentences from the two clips of the film.
"I'm afraid of death, life is so fucking short."
"But we're still alive."
