Funniest work from Studio Ghibli, very funny. The cute and pitiful tanuki can't bear to ruin their beautiful life. The ending is very sad and helpless. The raccoon turns into humans to survive, and some live by eating garbage. These are caused by hateful humans.

The harmonious coexistence of man and nature is the eternal theme of Ghibli animation. This film can best reflect this theme. Excessive deforestation, wanton hunting and killing of wild animals, and destruction of nature will eventually get retribution!
