childhood ends

The film adapted from another novel by Stephen King seems to have less ghosts and horrors, and more of the precious warmth and sincerity of childhood.
I miss Ted, the incomparably mysterious old man, his little friend, and his hazy love. Evil is almost always dark suit, dark hat, dark car in the eyes of children. Going back to that happy time, but facing the fact that the people have passed away, how do you feel?
Life is like a bink, this is the most classic sentence in this movie. About time and Ted left him with endless courage to face life and determination not to be discouraged.

When Ted said he was about to leave, Bobby rushed over and hugged Ted sadly. It resonates so much with me, thinking of some things that I have no choice but to lose... But we all cherished it well, at least we still have memories, it is always so beautiful, and it will stay with me for a lifetime.

I feel that the film is fragmented and unstructured... It only conveys an intention. Parents can see that children really need help growing up, and the natural path always points to the dark side.

Hearts in Atlantis quotes

  • Ted: I wouldn't have missed a single minute of it, Bobby. Not for the whole world.

  • Ted: We're all time's captives, hostages to eternity.

    Bobby: Ben Jonson?

Ted: No, Boris Pasternak. He was a Russian of no account, I think.
