In fact, she didn't. What she valued most was her younger brother, her own home, not the addict.
Adults never ask children what they think

Although Ree has said a few times about her goals, she needs to live, her family's house is about to be repossessed, and she needs to find her father, dead or alive.
Kindness of father, filial piety
Who is Ree's father, Jessup? For a long time in the movie, in a lot of dialogue, it was a rather manly father. So, of course, he's a good father~ at least everyone except Ree thinks so. Having given birth to Ree and her younger brother, and taught her the ability to survive, no matter how you look at it, this is a good man with a sense of responsibility and a good father.
Ree obviously didn't think so. Although the father and daughter in her memory were warm and affectionate, in fact, the father had been absent for a long time. When she has the ability to be self-reliant, their relationship has long since been indifferent.
What's more, even the house has been mortgaged. Common sense, as long as it is not the Virgin Mary, or stupid white sweet, anger is inevitable. The truth of life and the falsehood of stories
People always believe what they want to believe, even if it doesn't make sense.

But stories are not life after all. A story is a beautified life, and life is a rational story.
So when Ree came home with his father's hands in his arms, I suddenly realized that this is not an anti-routine story, this is not even a routine story, this is a piece of a dull life.
