The most controversial content aside, the filming technique is very good and full of creativity. In the opening scene, the behind-the-scenes roster alternated with footage of White House dignitaries, clips surreptitiously recording their makeup and hair grooming in front of the camera before their public speeches. The simple images make people feel that they are pretending to be pretentious. Although the content of the film is heavy, the overall atmosphere is not too gloomy. Maybe it can be regarded as a "black" joke! When interviewing the Perfect Army, he joked about a "swearing" song he liked, and immediately broadcast it, accompanied by a video of the bombing of Iraq. The killing turned out to be the same as singing a foul language, and it was only a personal vent. It is extremely ironic that "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" is accompanied by tanks patrolling the city on Christmas Eve, breaking into houses and detaining people.
However, superb skills cannot cover up the lack of content. Perhaps the "insider" disclosed in the film has already been exposed, and there will be no more unexpected secrets. In fact, this is the fundamental problem of this revealing documentary film. Unlike TV or magazines, movies have a longer lifespan. By the time the audience buys tickets to enter the venue, everyone has passed the "secret" into "common sense". For example, the money laundering of the Bush family and the bin Laden family has been widely known and is no longer a secret.
On the other hand, the film still sticks to the American standard and is full of great Americanism. The lives of American soldiers are worth repeating over and over again; but the lives of Iraqis killed and wounded have only been taken lightly. And for a group of small countries exporting to support the U.S. sending troops, they used animals and backward images to match the country name, which was almost insulting. In fact, these countries are under the economic and political coercion of the United States, so they are willing to become the targets of terrorists and are forced to support them. These insults come from American films, and audiences in these countries really don't know how they feel.
