watch movies, dance

The story seems to take place in Seattle, which is reminiscent of another film "Sleepless in Seattle" that also takes place there. They are all about the little emotions flowing out of the background of the huge building.
The film is just an old-fashioned way of using music to awaken the soul and change lives. The explanation about marriage that SUSAN said was not very moving. But after watching the film without trying to figure out the plot and thinking about human nature or some kind of social issue, what I can't get out of my mind is the cold and warm night scene of Seattle, and the old Richard still The tall and straight silhouette, and... a trace of inner joy and restlessness.
Then, for the city, what to hate is still to hate, and what to love is still love. A little bit of extra happiness may inspire me to sign up for a Latin dance class or something.

I saw it on the plane, but I got off the plane before I finished it, which is a pity. I still love people like heroes and heroines in their middle age, and they know how to love differently from when they were young. I am very moved. Maybe, time can't keep something, but there is always something in my heart. Grab it...

The story of a middle-aged man looking for a dance partner, although it is a happy ending, does not make people feel too vulgar.

Shall We Dance quotes

  • Paulina: And all this time, I've been hiding out at Miss Mitzi's, angry at myself, frustrated & embarrassed. But coaching you & Bobbie, seeing how alive you were out there, made me realize just how much I'd given up. And now, for the first time in a long time, I WANT to dance again. So, I need to thank you. Thank you, for helping me to see this.

  • Paulina: What made you wanna dance?

John Clark: You. Looking out that window, right there. You could see it from the train. Every night, I'd come home from work & I'd look for you, your face... you looked on the outside the way I was feeling on the inside.

Paulina: I was watching you, too. From the window, I saw you practicing on the platform.

    John Clark: No? Uhh.

Paulina: That night I said all those thing to you, I didn't think I'd ever see you again. But you kept coming back.

John Clark: I didn't want to. I figured if I hadn't, you would have been right about everything you accused me of. Then, I started dancing and found I really liked it. It made me happy!

    Paulina: Yes, it shows.
