There are not many films of the same type, and I dare not say that this film is the dish of the mainstream audience, but the actors' acting skills are quite superb. Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway were the driving force behind me watching this film, and I can't even remember how many times this is the first time Matthew McConaughey has acted in a film about the ocean. The screenwriter is quite bold, and the first half of the film is also full of many scenes and lines that seem simple and easy to understand but have unknown reasons. After seeing it, I understand the reason. There are also many obscure metaphors in the film, such as Diane Lane's character and the existence of the black cat, which are not easy to understand, but perhaps not too deep. In general, the film is quite bold in terms of the change of the plot direction. You can refer to Jake Gyllenhaal's "Source Code", but the themes to be expressed by the screenwriter and director are different. To sum up this film in one sentence, this is a rather sad film no matter which character it is from, and from which point of view. I recommend this film!
