Rushmore is not the kind of high-definition movie with complicated plots or large classic lines, but it would be too underestimated if you regard it as a cheerful and playful youth comedy. Almost all of Wes Anderson's films use a seemingly simple plot to interpret his world values. In his worldview, there are never bad guys, only people who are different from each other; there is nothing worth depressing, even death [please refer to the funny epitaph on the father’s tombstone in the genius family]. As long as RUSH MORE, there is no hurdle to pass. But unlike ordinary chicken soup movies for the soul, Webster's movies will also reveal a "cruel" fact: there are many things you cannot control and cannot change. Through Darjeeling, the mother still escaped from the three brothers, Zero in the Budapest Grand Hotel could not stop the decline of the hotel, and the female teacher Max dreamed of in this film never really belonged to him. But you can't stop your life because of this, even if you can't change anything in the end, even if it's an absurd and naive way like Max Fischer, you have to move forward. In the end, maybe there will be a prom like the one in the movie waiting for you at the end. Even if not, it is a good thing to have this memory and to cherish this memory for yourself or to share it with others.
Postscript [What do you think of writing?]:
*I like the tune of Webster's movies more and more, and he is also a director who uses fairy tales to express reality.
*Anderson can make a very informative film without remembering the world of yesterday.
*JS was only 18 years old....Looking at his profile, it turns out that he is also a member of the Coppola family. . .
*It was supposed to discuss Rushmore’s why my entire film review is almost always a personal adoration of Wes Anderson...
*In Anderson’s films, children are always precocious and adults are always naive. His taste for music will always be so high.
*Remember a line that almost made me
cry : ——You are like one of those clipper ship captains.
——But I have been out of sea for a long time. ——You are
like the captain of those speedboats. ——But I have been out to sea for too long.
