Watching the whole show makes me a little regretful, but here I want to talk more about Lakshmi's end up staying by Parry's side.
The fuse for the movie came from the pads. Lakshmi was completely separated from his wife when he was criticized by the village after his own experiment failed. He left his last words, he wanted to turn his wife's humiliation back into respect. But after careful review, I found that it was indeed Parry who really finally made his words come true.
When Lakshmi successfully experimented with the first pad on Pari, he called his wife. Tell her that he succeeded, that he will come back to find his wife, and what he really thought, naively, was that he would get his wife and respect when he made a pad. But what can really change the wife is not the price of pads, pads or other, but the thoughts in her and Indian women's hearts. So he will invent a great success but be spurned by people when he returns to his hometown. At this time, Parry came back, and she used her wisdom to persuade one villager after another to change their minds. (Actually, I don’t think the story is so simple. Parry’s persuasion seems to be easy. For the purpose of the movie, I will explain it here.) It also finally allowed Lakshmi to have his own factory, and finally made the pads widely used in India. , and thus got the opportunity to speak in the United States.
Some people think that Lakshmi finally returned to his original partner because he did not forget his original intention, and he went so far without forgetting why he started. But in my opinion, the purpose of his departure was for his wife, in order to make a satisfactory pad for her, he finally succeeded and called his wife, but the wife could not understand his intentions. Therefore, he has already realized his original intention, but he is not recognized. And Parry's existence is not just as simple as making him a pad. She made his original intention go further. With Parry's help, he realized that more Indian women had no pads available, he produced more cheap pads, helped more people, and gradually changed people's minds. He and Parry are the real high-level people.
When it comes to him and Parry, more of a fit comes to my mind. The two of them are more suitable to fight together, after all, the hardest journey was all that Parry went through with him. Not only would he not be famous without Parry, he would never have returned to his wife. There are two moments of Lakshmi's happiest time in the whole film, one is the happiness he spent with his wife at the beginning, and the other is the time when he and Parry worked hard together in hardships and shared happiness together. So Parry's presence made Lakshmi feel a higher real sense of happiness. At first, Lakshmi just wanted to make his wife happy and make a pad for her, but in the end he was actually more suitable to be such an entrepreneur and help more people.
Parry finally told her father that she was afraid that keeping Lakshmi would make him not like herself, but I think that only when Parry is by Lakshmi's side can Lakshmi truly be himself and realize his ambitions . She may not have realized that it was her own existence that enabled Lakshmi to succeed and realize herself.
Parry is in my heart the absolute female lead of this show, the one who should really be with Lakshmi. It may be that she loved Lakshmi too deeply and finally chose to let it go.
From then on, Parry became the red rose in Lakshmi's heart.
