Souls don't die

This movie is a bit like "How to Train Your Dragon". The common point is that the protagonist really understands the hostile species, becomes friends with them, and finally everyone can live in harmony.

The special point of this film is that it is in the context of the Cold War. I feel a bit reflective of World War II. In a special historical context, human beings are sensitive and impulsive.

Fortunately, the ending is quite complete~

"You are made of metal, but you have feelings, and you think about things, and that means you have a soul. And souls don't die."

Americans should really think about whether their usual thinking mode is wrong, why when they see non-native or local races, they must think they are hostile or hostile. Too many movies like this, eh. Great praise BradBird~I have always liked him

Watching my inner cow is full of face, this cartoon is really good and really loving! Having a robot friend Shenma is the dream of many children when they were young!

The Iron Giant quotes

  • General Rogard: You'll be Chief Inspector of Subway Toilets by the time I'm through with you!

  • Hogarth Hughes: I know you feel bad about the deer, but it's not your fault. Things die. That's part of life. It's bad to kill, but it's not bad to die.

    The Iron Giant: You die?

    Hogarth Hughes: Well, yes, someday.

    The Iron Giant: I die?

Hogarth Hughes: I don't know. You're made of metal, but you have feelings, and you think about things, and that means you have a soul. And souls don't die.

    The Iron Giant: Soul?

Hogarth Hughes: Mom says it's something inside of all good things, and that it goes on forever and ever.
