I'm tired of those Hollywood animation masterpieces, gorgeous animations, there is always an omnipotent superhero, or a clown-like obscure character who is gorgeously reincarnated as a hero, and when appropriate, singing and dancing will become a hero. There are a lot of truths in the film. They are all warm truths, and they are like chicken soup for the soul, out of reach. What does it have to do with me. On the contrary, some small productions, starting from a small angle, are funny, lonely, or ordinary, closer to us, as simple and boring as we are, there is always a little touched. "The Iron Giant" (The Iron Giant 1999) belongs to that kind of mundane storyline. After watching the beginning, guessing the result for a long time, there is no mystery. Iron Man looks very powerful, but he is actually a dumb, simple brain. He doesn't know anything except instinctively eating metal. His thoughts are like a blank sheet of paper, simpler than a baby. Come to the earth society, learn little by little, learn with the little boy Hogarth, and become a friend of the lonely Hogarth. For this friendship, in order to protect the homeland where friends live, Iron Man is willing to dedicate his life.
The ending was unexpected, and naturally connected with the front, Iron Man's parts awakened in every corner, gathered to his "soul", and finally he recovered.
This somewhat humorous ending made the audience laugh knowingly.
