1. Thin red line is a slang term that refers to a group of disadvantaged troops holding their positions to deal with attacks. From thin red streak tipped with a line of steel. After understanding the original meaning, who the thin red line is referring to is self-explanatory, and there is no sense.

2. This is an adaptation of the film, the original work is the 1962 novel Thin Red Line. Being able to make the artistic conception and imagery of the original work to this point is an amazing thing in itself. I think it’s unclear why the film’s installation B is, and you can see it by looking at the original. Terrence Malick created not only an excellent and special war film, but also a miracle.

PS: I saw a classmate who said that this film chose to respect the author instead of respecting the audience. In fact, the director did not respect the author. The reason why the video of this film is a miracle is because the director’s personal feeling has surpassed the Kubrick version of the Shining.

  • Lt. Col. Gordon Tall: [voice over] Shut up in a tomb. Can't lift the lid. Playing a role I never concieved.
