The movie is still from director Martin Scorsese , but it's obviously not his usual style, but it's a good story.
The protagonist of the story is Alice , who was born in Vermont and loved to sing since she was a child. Later, she married to the state of Mexico and became a housewife, and she stopped singing. There is also a bear boy named Tommy .
Although the family of three is noisy and contradictory every day, Alice, whose family is neat and healthy, is very content.
But bad luck always falls from the sky, and her husband was killed in a car accident.
After taking care of her husband's funeral, Alice was running out of money. And she had to raise Tommy, and life had to go on. So Alice wanted to keep singing, but she had to go back to Vermont .

But what she never expected was that Ben was a man with a wife and children, and he had a tendency to violence. After being threatened, she hurriedly packed her bags and continued on to Vermont.
Passing through a small town, Alice found her next job, not as a singer, but as a waiter in a restaurant. The job was not easy, and she couldn't stand another female colleague's "dirty exit".

But the good times didn't last long, and Tommy's words became more and more ugly and disobedient. During a party with John, Tommy pissed off John, and John hit Tommy. This makes Alice very sad.
John and Alice's relationship is at an impasse, even though they love each other. Finally, John came to the store to apologize to Alice and express his love. He's going to Vermont with Alice!
When people who love are together, where do they go to live differently? In the end, Alice decided to stay in this small town, and Tommy the bear also found his bad friend, everyone is happy!
