When I heard the title, I was really stunned for a long time: Can ninja and Batman mix and match? After watching the movie, I feel very special. First, I was deeply attracted by the cool style of this Japanese comic, and then I felt that the story and characters really couldn't keep up! It can be said that it satisfies the vision, but it is inferior in terms of content.
I am not a diehard fan of Batman, nor do I have a systematic understanding of the various positive and negative images in the "Batman" line in the American comics. I'm just talking about my opinion based on the superficial understanding of the "Batman" trilogy, "Batman v Superman" and "The Lego Batman Movie" that I have seen.
On comics, the world's first Japanese comics!
Japanese manga is really a magical existence. From American comics to live-action movies, just from the style of painting, the Japanese comic style this time really surprised me.
The West has always respected the Japanese style of painting, and even set off a wave of learning Japanese ukiyo-e. There are even rumors that Monet and Van Gogh once copied Japanese Ukiyo-e. It can be seen that its influence is great. At the same time, in turn, Japanese painting was also influenced by the West.
After the West gave such great recognition to the Japanese painting style, Japan began to focus on strengthening and developing its own painting style. The influence goes both ways: don't you like it? Don't you appreciate it? Don't you admire it? Well, then I'll show you the part that you think is the most beautiful of me. Therefore, Japanese paintings, and even later comics, have a large audience in the Western world. Coupled with the mystery of the East, the West is flocking to them.
This time, Warner Bros. cooperated with the "exploding samurai" (Japanese cartoonist Okazaki Noji) to create Batman's new animated film "Ninja Batman" precisely to pinpoint the hobby of Westerners. Of course, the visual effect is also very good in my opinion! To be honest, I didn't feel anything when Batman fell into the streets of Zephyr. But when the clown appeared gorgeously in the middle of the moon, it really made people's eyes widen and they had to be convinced!
Everyone's image is different because they have entered the Japanese comic system. The clothes seem to be more elegant, the appearance is cooler, and the gorgeous color matching is obvious.
What I like is the detail handling of Niman: The waves will have a tribute to Katsushika Hokusai's "The Waves of Kanagawa"; in addition to the freehand clouds in the sky, the background is looming with traditional cloud patterns; in the memory of the clown's amnesia Among them, another more coarse-grained freehand painting style is adopted as a distinction and so on.
Rimanga's detailed details, exaggerated characters' expressions, and bold and freehand movements all give people a surreal feeling, thus creating a magical place of imagination. But this so-called seemingly ethereal thinking space can be described, which really makes people feel amazing!
On the plot, it can only be summed up in "Secondary"
Although the painting style blinded my eyes, I lost myself in the dazzling screen full of high saturation and exaggerated lines. But at least I remained a little bit awake, and separated a part of my mind to read the story and the plot.
If you want to talk about Japanese manga, a major feature is - the second! The whole plot is unreservedly showing a very popcorn second atmosphere. It's just a deadly split for everyone to switch time and space to another battlefield, and then want to get the most benefit.
And our heroic justice incarnated as Batman, also got rid of the gloomy lone ranger's breath, and turned into a "Batman leader" similar to the "Captain America" who led the charge forward.
Before Bruce became Batman, he went to Tibet to receive martial arts training, and I believe that there must be ninja ninjutsu among them. But after traveling to Japan this time, the biggest relationship with ninjas is changing clothes and eating sashimi. Have you understood the ninja spirit? Relying on the legend of the local bat tribe, he became the savior in the prophecy, and instantly transformed from a dark hero who fought alone to a leader who can lead a group of people? The transformation is so fast! Could this be called a ninja-level epiphany? I had to shout in my heart: Are you still the same Bruce? Travel through time and space to transform your character?
I don't know if it's because of returning to ancient times, people's combat skills have been reduced to a dead-on-head-to-hard human-flesh tactic. And IQ has also degenerated to a point where you basically don't need to use your brain. Without any conspiracy or dark-hearted plot, everything is exposed like this: the bad guys want to occupy and mess up Japan in this era, and the good guys want to stop them. And then, on to the show!
Where has the essence of the Batman franchise gone? The dark and unpredictable clowns only stop at exaggerated costumes and laughter? And the smile is extremely empty and there is wood! Also, the battle between Harley Quinn and Catwoman is completely like a junior high school girl fighting each other's hair on the street... Even the other supporting roles are also coming to make up the number? Just for the sake of going through the motions, it seems that there are many people and great power, and there is enough villain to have a decent person to clean up? Totally incomprehensible!
In terms of characters, the clown without makeup is more interesting!
Overall, the character creation is a big hole in this movie. All the supporting roles are just Facebook-styled and used directly, nothing new. Batman himself turned into "Captain America", Wei Guangzheng makes one's teeth ticklish, which really goes against common sense. And the one that amazes me the most is the clown without makeup.
There is a plot of less than 5 minutes in the film, which depicts the Joker facing the Red Hood and Batman who came to seek revenge, telling the story of amnesia due to the explosion. The whole paragraph is depicted in another coarse-grained freehand brushwork, as if it is not in the same world as all the previous plots. very interesting.
What was the clown like? A person who never speaks seriously. Every word he said seemed to be a joke, an inadvertent lie. The origin of the scar on his mouth, he can say three different versions with pain, which one do you believe? Listen to any one of them alone and you might believe it, but after listening to all three? Can only express complete doubts about him. That's how he played with everything in the world with a cynical attitude, and destroyed it with the feeling that there was nothing left to lose. We have long been unable to believe anything he said. This attitude towards life with irony, playfulness, banter, and ridicule is unpredictable, and naturally we dare not treat each other sincerely.
But in the past 5 minutes, the "amnesiac" clown has lost the arrogance and ridicule of the past, no exaggerated lipstick and costumes, and only the simplest plain makeup and rough clothes are left. He and Harley Quinn have become the most common farmers who face the loess and turn their backs to the sky, living a life like "Little Forest" on the barren land. In the face of the beating of the red hood, the two kept begging and bewildered. The Joker told Batman the joy of his hard work, he understood the feeling of touching the soil with his hands, and the joy of being satisfied with the growth of plants. This is completely two people from the previous clown! At this time, a kind of "truth" came out. Among the "truth, goodness and beauty" that people admire, the first is "truth". This kind of truth makes people have a feeling of touching his heart. Perhaps, at this time, this amnesiac gives people a sense of relief that can be seen and touched.
As the saying goes, "handsome is less than 5 seconds", but the clown is "really less than 5 points". This pristine sincerity lasted no more than 5 minutes. I don't know if it was the familiar smell that reminded him of everything about him, or it was just a meditation performance for him. When the clown painted Flaming 999's lipstick, he became the crazy criminal again. But this difficult 5-minute simple clown, although not gorgeous enough, allowed me to see maybe another side of him.
In short, "Batman Ninja" is very good in style, and this combination of other styles and worlds is refreshing. This occasional "runaway" is just a temporary novelty in the style of painting, and it does not continue to be coherent and consistent in terms of content and the original storyline and characters. So it's just an Easter egg-like work for the audience to try.
