"Operation Swordfish" is an old film of 01. IMDB gave a passing score of 6.2. As a Hollywood blockbuster, it defeated the American main theme blockbuster "Pearl Harbor". Generally speaking, it is a commercial masterpiece with excellent plots, actors, and pictures.
The plot will not be introduced. Although it is a film in 2001, the theme of anti-terrorism is not old-fashioned now. On the contrary, before 9/11, there is a kind of advanced revelation.
The film mainly tells the story of an angry youth in the United States:
he severely punishes corrupt elements and eliminates national assholes; (robbing money)
he loves the country and advocates that those who dare to offend strong men will be punishable even if they are far away; (bombing terrorists)
In short, a typical American angry youth, If Travolta kills corrupt officials, bombs the Japanese nation, and burns Japanese goods in China, there will be countless angry youths who will follow them. . . .
In the plot, the angry youth GG asks the hacker GG
"If you can cure all diseases, but you want to kill an innocent child, will you do it?"
"I won't" without thinking
"I'm disappointed."
In fact, I am also very disappointed. Disappointed, but if the hacker GG says "I will", I think I will be even more disappointed.
For the sake of the overall situation, it is right to sacrifice the ego objectively. However, the question is whether to sacrifice yourself or let others sacrifice. This is very different. If you sacrifice yourself for the victory of a war, and finally win, there is no doubt that you are HERO and stay forever. However, it is controversial if a commander sacrifices his subordinates in order to win. In fact, the theme of this film is to reflect this problem.
"Soldiers, lethal weapons", Lao Tzu later added "the saint had to do it", emphasizing the unknown of the soldiers. Indeed, life is the most precious, whether you are yourself or others. The sword can kill people, including yourself, regardless of your purpose.
Of course, we are not saints. Many things have to be solved by killing people. I just want to say that when we go to kill people, we should think about why we use killing to solve problems, and how can we avoid such things from happening instead. Think about how to kill more people, after all, "soldiers, murder weapons."
