Why go to war, we fight life eveyday.
Life is hard enough.
You went to join the army in order to please your father. You were tortured because of the tragic death of your comrades. You were rejected by your mother, and you were deceived and hurt. The sad part is, you devoted your whole adult life to the something, only to find out " you never be in".
We often complain that Chinese families have no boundaries and private space. The mother and daughter in the play are far away like two strangers Humans are equally depressing.
