A botched film experiment

It's normal for Darren Aronofsky's new film to be subject to unprecedented controversy. Fans who are familiar with his shooting hobbies will certainly not be unfamiliar with those special photographic techniques and sensational soundtracks. "Addicted" and "Black Swan" can be seen everywhere. In this new film, hand-held photography and close-up lenses are used more extensively. The shaking and uneasy images and the dark and strange atmosphere all the way give people a strong sense of tension and depression. The use of houses to metaphor the psychological and emotional changes of the characters makes people’s eyes bright. The scene scheduling and camera movement in a small space are considered the most complicated and superb in the movies I have ever seen, especially the massacre near the end, which is full of wildness. The sense of absurdity and mysterious ritual.

Compared with the film technology, this script is too rough, and there are many logical loopholes in the plot. The screenwriter sacrificed a reasonable plot in order to concoct all kinds of conjured metaphors: refugees, war, religion, fame and fortune, media, greed, etc., but in the end did not give a sufficient and reasonable explanation. And I can see that this is a story about the writer’s inspiration. The heroine symbolizes the "inspiration" of the poet's husband. The two bred great "works" through inspiration, which were greedily swallowed by fanatical readers after being regarded as the Bible. In order to satisfy the readers' more greed, the writer had no choice but to continue to capture the "inspiration" of the heroine. However, according to the director's personal interpretation, this is an environmentally-friendly film, and the heroine is a metaphor for our mother earth!

The divergent and inexplicable themes make Aronofsky's new film a botched film experiment, which feels a bit wasteful of the hero and heroine, especially the interpretation of the "big cousin" sacrificed for art.
