forever

After watching "One Breath, One Breath", I didn't hold out much hope, just for leisure. The result was a big surprise.
The rhythm of the first half was clear and the photographer worked hard. The framing can also be said to be beautiful.
In the second half, the emotional power is revealed. Although it is relatively bland on the whole, it still pays attention to the key points.
After seeing Robin, he said, now it's his turn. Reminds me of Shi Tiesheng's poem "Forever":

I have to live until I can die
calmly , and you can
send me away calmly. Before that,
death nothing to do with you and me.

Previously, death was just a rumor, the
north wind shouted, the old tree was
broken by the middle, the
plot , or a moment of immortality.

I will live until I
can die and see, and you can
listen to me in death, and after that
death has nothing to do with you or me.

After that, death is but a migration, an
eternal return, the present being
replaced by the future, a
note , or a gyration of eternity.

I have to live until I can
count past lives and you can
laugh with me, so
death do with you and me.

Perhaps this poem is the film's best annotation.

The true story is too touching, but the film doesn't have much appeal, the first 150 minutes without the 3 minutes of commentary and the real video are touching By the way, it's a movie which companies me almost along the whole travel in GZ, it makes sense

    Can't criticize, can't praise.

Breathe quotes

  • Colin Campbell: There is something I have to say. I want you to know what a difference you've made to my life. It's not always been easy for me. Every time I come here... I go away stronger. And it's not because you're worse off than me.

    Robin Cavendish: No, no, no.

Colin Campbell: It's who you are, Robin. Or who you've turned yourself into, God knows how.

    Robin Cavendish: Thank you, Col.

Colin Campbell: I'm gonna miss you.

  • Diana Cavendish: Now, I don't have a farewell speech. You don't mind, do you?

    Robin Cavendish: No.

Diana Cavendish: You have given me a wonderful life.

Robin Cavendish: It wasn't quite what you expected.

    Diana Cavendish: [chuckles] No.

    Robin Cavendish: No, nor me.
