Horace and Pete doesn't have everything that's trendy at the moment: it won't make you laugh and forget about your sorrows; it's not funny, it's not sensational; and lens. On the contrary, the footage is extremely static, with a retro-style drama. And that's exactly what I love about Louis CK and the show. Without publicity, Louis CK said that he is very tired of the current movie promotion, and can't wait to put all the information and all the excitement in front of you. If you haven't seen it, you will feel that you have seen it. So he shot such a non-gimmick thing by himself, sent an email, no gimmick, you can watch it if you like. I don't know much about comedy theory, but I still understand that "comedy has a tragic core." This has been the case since the day comedy was born. But how to turn "sorrow" into a laugh is a process of creation and evolution. Belittling and vilifying yourself in order to inspire the audience's "sudden glory"? Is it within a certain limit "beautiful but self-beautiful, unwise and self-righteous"? Is it ugly and ridiculous? Did the tension suddenly disappear? Funny, witty, humorous, satire, irony, no matter which way to create a laugh, choose a technique and a vehicle.
