my lonely little boy, every time I see DT's big innocent eyes, it reminds me of this line. This is the comment I got in the episode of Mrs. Pompadour in the second season of dr.who, and it is also my favorite episode. In this episode, the doctor walked into the life of a woman from an abandoned spaceship through a fireplace, witnessing and blessing her life. This woman is called Renette Passon, who is also the famous Madame Pompadour in history. What the doctor said about him: the uncrowned king of France, the patron of art, and the great daydreamer. The whole plot is filled with the sad colors of French luxury, full of masks, precision machinery, clocks, luxurious life, and endless love and melancholy. The doctor traveled through Lenet's life in a few hours. When he walked into her world from the young Madame Pompadour's fireplace, he was lightly like a foam, like an angel in the fireplace. When he scanned her mind to find out why she became the target of a robot, he was entered into his inner world for the first time. She called him: my lonely little boy, because she saw all the loneliness and sadness in his heart. No matter how vast the universe is, and knowing the names of all the stars can not reduce his loneliness. Madame Pompadour, perhaps the first and only person in history to be so close to DR. The favorite plot is that when the doctor knew that he would not be able to return to his own time and space again by breaking the window of time and space, he rode a white horse into the Palace of Versailles without hesitation and rescued his girl. This scene once again proves that science fiction is not only a cold machine, but also a romantic mess. But it was the doctor himself who was saved in the end, and the girl's love helped him keep the only way back-the fireplace he walked into at the beginning. After the doctor passed the fireplace for five minutes, the girl was gone, and he lost the opportunity to walk with the woman who might know him best. Time is like this, and people are filled with infinite emotion, even the time lord is not immune.
I have to say that DT's performance is very wonderful, every expression of his is like the doctor should be. From the first time I kissed the grown-up Madame Pompadour, the expression of joy when she learned her identity, to the surprise of being touched by someone's inner world for the first time. After learning that he could not return to his own time and space, his lonely smile turned to the lonely expression after learning of her death. His big watery eyes are like an innocent little animal. But don't be deceived by him, he is always the courageous dr.
