Even if you look at the title, you can guess the plot, but the surprise is far greater than expected. The two actors were chosen too well, the honest and enthusiastic Depardieu, and the elegant and friendly McDowell, the cooperation between the two is really sparkling. The abrupt ending is just right and unconventional~
A good movie, but I always feel that if the male protagonist is set as a citizen of a third world country, it will have more weight and more reality. I don't know if the director arranged for a Frenchman for the sake of audience acceptance, or is he just avoiding the important?
